    estructive / toxic leadership and toxic workplace cultures play a key role as a root cause of employee turnover and impact employee wellbeing overall.

    #DYK toxic culture was 10 times more powerful than compensation in predicting attrition during the first six months of the so-called Great Resignation and that "women are 41% more likely to experience toxic workplace culture than men" (Sull & Sull, 2023). While organizational dysfunction effects everyone, evidence shows that Black and POC employees suffer the most from a toxic culture (Perkins, 2021).


    Participate in my dissertation research on the impact of destructive leadership and toxic workplace culture in the tech industry. Or share with your network. 

    Who Can Participate?

    • Individuals aged 18 and above.

    • Employed full-time across various roles within the technology industry, including Information Technology and Telecommunications.

    • Working in any of the following settings: on-site, hybrid, or remote.

    • Employed by companies that are headquartered within the United States.

    The survey takes about 10–15 minutes, and at the end, there is an option to indicate interest in participating in the qualitative phase to share insights, experiences, and perspectives further, for which responses will be confidential.


    The benefits of participating in this research may include deeper insight into the nature of destructive leadership and its effects, potentially leading to the development of constructive leadership strategies and interventions aimed at reducing and/or preventing destructive leadership. Participants may gain a better understanding of toxic workplace dynamics, which can empower individuals to advocate for healthier work environments and contribute to knowledge on organizational culture, leadership, and followership, offering valuable data that can guide future research and practice.
