McDonough Leadership Conference (Marietta College)

Date(s)

Starts:  Mar 31, 2017 11:00 (ET)
Ends:  Apr 1, 2017 19:30 (ET)

Event Description

This national event brings together undergraduate and graduate leadership students from many different institutions. All are welcome!  Registration is free for students!

Leadership does not take place in a contextual vacuum. It is the product of many processes that come together in a specific time, contributing to a complex human phenomenon. Please join us as we explore two aspects of this conference theme, “Leadership Through Time” – (1) The historical dynamic of leadership; and (2) Leadership across generations. In the first aspect, we draw leadership lessons by exploring the experiences of the past. Historical leaders are often studied to help us understand how leadership works in different contexts. In the second aspect, we are particularly interested in the way different generations have influenced leadership through the decades. In particular, we would like to explore the way multiple generations affect leadership – e.g., the presence of the Millennials in the workplace.
