John Lewis 1999 ILA Keynote

In his keynote "Seeds of Leadership, Tides of Change," Congressman John R. Lewis shares his incredible life story. Born the son of a sharecropper in rural Alabama in the 1940s he was at the forefront of the Civil Rights Movement and has served as the U.S. Representative for Georgia's 5th district since 1987. His graphic novel trilogy, March, won the National Book Award.

In one of the first Pause for Pedagogy video interviews, Rian Satterwhite discusses the use of the "Critical Theory Lens for Service Leadership." Rian is also one of the facilitators for this year's 3rd Leadership Education Academy (LEA) an intensive cohort experience designed to advance one's ability to teach leadership in a variety of capacities.
