Juana Bordas

Interview With 2 Leadership Legacies

Twelve years ago, Richard Couto interviewed Juana Bordas on her book Salsa, Soul, and Spirit: Leadership for a Multicultural Age. It is only fitting that we feature this interview today as Bordas and Couto (along with Nancy J. Adler) will both be honored at this year's #ILA2019Ottawa conference with our Lifetime Achievement Award. Adler and Bordas will accept their awards in person and will be speaking throughout the conference. Couto's posthumous award will be presented by Georgia Sorenson.

Michelle Bligh

Followership Travels the World

Did you know that many presenters upload their PowerPoints and papers to the online conference program? Go back in time to this 2016 paper, given at ILA Atlanta by Ariel Blair and Michelle Bligh. Their study found the social construction of followership is different across Jamaica, Thailand, and the United States. The paper explores these results plus the relationships between followership and culture, and followership and minority dissent. Just click "Access Paper" below to go to the online conference program, then click "download." For this year's program, follow the links from the conference website.
