On these first days of March, the ILA Board held its annual planning retreat at the site of our upcoming 20th anniversary global conference in West Palm Beach, Florida. The work of this year’s retreat was to discuss the association’s three-year positional plan for 2018 through 2020. The theme that mapped our work together was “to claim our place in the world today as we move forward.” The retreat also allowed the Board and staff the time to step back, reflect, and celebrate the accomplishments of the ILA. I share with you some of the achievements of 2017.
